I am an expansive thinker and engaging leader with 20 years combined experience in mission-driven nonprofit organizations, professional trade associations, and institutions of higher education. Currently, I work to drive positive social impact in the craft beverage space through education, program development, and philanthropy as the Director of Social Impact for the Brewers Association, Executive Director of Craft x EDU, and member of the Board of Directors for the Michael Jackson Foundation for Brewing and Distilling and the National Black Brewers Association. As a former college professor, entrepreneur, nonprofit leader, and social impact specialist, I cultivate a broad and ever-evolving skill set. However, four core competencies have provided a foundation for success throughout my career.STRATEGY - I am a strategist and problem-solver who uses evidence-based best practices and innovative organizational frameworks to deliver against operational imperatives.SYSTEMS – I develop mission-aligned systems and programs that optimize existing resources and capacity while relentlessly pursuing impact.ASSESSMENT – I apply quantitative and qualitative research and data analysis methodologies to generate actionable insights and guide growth in organizational settings.LEARNING – I am a life-long learner and accomplished educator with a passion for personal and professional development and a talent for making complex information accessible and actionable for other learners.In recent years, I have:• Worked with craft beverage producers, trade associations, and other small business to identify and implement inclusive, equitable, and just business practices that are mission-aligned, results-oriented, and profit conscious. • Developed and managed robust, public-facing programs designed to remove barriers to access and advancement for underrepresented and traditionally marginalized groups in the brewing industry.• Leveraged qualitative and quantitative research methods to create assessment and diagnostic tools including cultural climate audits, strategic alignments, DEI benchmarking tools, and equity scorecards. • Designed and delivered engaging and actionable learning experiences for face-to-face and virtual settings that develop confidence, competency, credibility, and buy-in for social impact initiatives and strategic goals.
