Identity Manager 4 is the major release of Novell’s Identity Manager product. This is a consolidated release that includes many of Identity Manger components and released in three flavors. This release included team working from 4 different locations for 8 major components. Responsibilities:• As an overall architect of the product oversee common architecture patterns, component interactions, security aspects etc.• Technical lead for over all IDM development team that included teams from 4 different locations (Bangalore, Hyderabad, Boston(MA) and Provo(UT))• Visits customers (Defence in Singapore, Banks in Malaysia, Govt. and banking customers in Australia) and partners (Wipro, Infosys, Accenture) to promote new features and capabilities of the product. • Member of Architects, Novell’s Cloud offerings,Executive Leadership Team initiated a breakout move to identify next cutting edge products that can come out of Novell and Cloud initiative was chosen as one of the technology areas. I’m part of the architect’s team working on this initiative since it was one of my breakout move submission. Responsibilities:• Presented the initial proposal to the leadership team. • Architected a distributed billing service for our cloud offering based on industry standards. Investigated and worked with third party, commercial solutions to integrate with the products.• Researching and proposing key differentiator for the product such as extending enterprise single sign-on to cloud.• Presented NCSS to various MSPs in APAC and EMEA and setting up PoCs for them. (SingTel, Airtel, Sify, Kotak etc.)• Represented Novell for Cloud Management Taskforce in DMTF and coauthored the standards document.
