Blue Sky Infrastructure is a Houston Texas based company developing CO2 pipeline and underground injection well infrastructure in the US to provide permanent geologic storage of CO2 for large industrial emitters of CO2 seeking to decarbonize. Blue Sky is a portfolio company of private equity funds managed by the Blackstone Group, the world’s largest alternative asset manager with over $800 billion of capital under management. My main responsibilities include:- Manage reservoir characterization and geologic modeling efforts- Develop and maintain numerical reservoir simulation models of CCS projects- Manage data acquisition for reservoir characterization and MRV plan- Lead Class VI well permit application work- Manage drilling and operations efforts- Co-PI of two CarbonSAFE Phase III grants, selected by the DOE in 2023
