This role is very similar to the last but I was given more empowerment to be creative. Created many productivity-boosting applications in excel that today support the whole state's design team. This role allowed me to help other designers and learn new things myself. Self-studied VB, HTML, CSS, and Java to help build complex macros and websites to aid designers. All while keeping a high level of quality on my designs. One of my other responsibilities are design quality control. Reviews of construction plans for accuracy in regards to Constructability, CADD Standards, and work order integrity. As the plans are reviewed I also mentor and pass on my experience from design. Mentoring is a big part of the review process along with quality.

My prior experience was as a customer energy specialist. I was eager to learn more about gas main design and supporting the 3rd party coordinators who work with the municipalities. This role helped me learn a great deal about advanced gas design. In 2008 I worked as a Go-Live Support member where I learned SAP. My role was to support gas designers in a company-wide roll-out of the new order management system. The areas I supported were by far some of the best prepared for the rollout across the entire state. The role put me in a position where I was an SME for the end-users and also the IT department. As issues come up with the work order process I am typically involved because of my knowledge of both the design process and the functionality of the order management systems.

As a customer energy specialist for Consumers Energy, I learned about how the natural gas industry works in the state of Michigan. I began working with residential customers in Livingston, Oakland, and Washtenaw counties. I managed a workload of around 300 to 500 services at a time. The job was very focused on customer satisfaction. I was the one person that the customer or developer would call to resolve all their questions and concerns about their natural gas service request. During my two years of working with residential services, I was able to build efficiencies in the process so that every service was designed in CAD and improved the quality of records going forward. The project involved working with the IT team for the CAD software where I helped build smart templates to aid designers in the design process. Those templates are still used today. In my last year in this role, I took on managing the commercial services and new natural gas main design in six townships. The work involved calculating gas loads and determining system pressure drops due to new load on the system. My responsibilities included on-site meeting with customers and working with developers to plan the route and meter installation locations for small industrial and new commercial buildings. The design of the new natural gas main gave me experience working with land and right of way, learning to collect data in the field, and plan my designs so they were effective for the future.

Creating an entirely new site that fits the needs of the council. The past site had been abandoned years ago and the new platform will be modeled off the supreme Council Site. The new site will include a lot of special projects and content that makes Council 13319 one of the best councils in Michigan. As the world has moved to a more remote environment I am developing tools to help the council continue fundraising and keeping safety as a top priority! It is essential the council can still raise funds and stay involved with the community.
