To help others and make a difference is my ultimate goal and my passion is working with young children. I am committed to doing my personal best in every aspect of my life, enjoying both the challenge of working independently and the comradery of being part of a team. I have a strong moral character and code of ethics, believing that everyone has the right to be treated with respect and compassion, and be afforded equal opportunities for personal success. Through my education and placement experiences at Conestoga College, I have developed and put into practice, significant knowledge including a variety of teaching methods, principles and practices, developmental stages of children in the early years, behaviour management and the challenges faced by families that include children with special needs. I have also been able to further my communication, presentation skills and ability to build a positive rapport with the children and their caregivers. During my placement with the Regions Child Care Subsidy office, I expanded my knowledge of computer software during the collection and interpretation of data. My professional goal is to finish my current Honors Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Program Development, continue on to university to obtain my Teachers Degree and become an early years teacher, facilitating development of children in Kindergarten or Grade one.
