Founding Creative Director for the Harlem Arts Festival, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that produces year round artistic events for the Harlem community in NYC. I initiated and executed a creative vision for the organization including artistic programs, and production of the annual multi-disciplinary arts festival in Marcus Garvey Park's outdoor amphitheater, and surrounding area. My role encompassed leveraging strategic partnerships, event planning, including annual fundraising gala and 'HAF Sessions,' cultivating young patrons and individual donors, developing a marketing strategy, overseeing artist applications process, grant writing, and community outreach. In it's first year, HAF raised $13K on a Kickstarter campaign featured in the NY Times, and attracted 1,000 to the first festival. In the second year, our audience and our budget doubled, the third year attracted approximately 5,000 to the park for the festival and was featured on ABC News.
