I like to surround myself with anything history. I have been doing research for 9 years now. I recently started doing freelance work for families interested in their family history. I have experience in the following genealogical positions;• conducting court research, land deeds, naturalization records, mortgages, probate.• document retrievals•preparing genealogical reports.•writing genealogical histories.•internet search applications and creating family trees. i.e. ancestry.com, fold3, family search.•genealogical proof standards. I see myself as being a vital asset to any research team because I have the ability look outside the box and discover connections that aren't very obvious. I have a lot of experience working on brick wall research because I have had a major one in my own family tree, and creating that genealogical proof standard. Most of my experience is in central New York and Connecticut with a specific skill set in the era before the war of 1812 which is where I have spent most of my time researching which includes the revolutionary war.I am hoping to connect with other like minded individuals to find a career in genealogy, and be able to work with my passion everyday.
