My earlier background was spent predominantly in the Electronics Industry. I worked initially for Marconi Radar as a Field Services Engineer. An excellent job which also took me overseas for a few years to Egypt and Oman. After that I had a Sales job with a German company called Rohde & Schwarz who made high specification test equipment. I enjoyed this very much and progressed on spending time with a number of companies in various sales and marketing roles. In 2001, I set up my own company providing specialised Sales & Marketing consultancy. A friend of mine who was a structural engineer asked if I could help him out. The result was the website Local Surveyors Direct which was founded in 2005.
