I worked as a operational supervisor and coach for new starters, delivering the training and supporting individuals to be effective in live operations and their civil service careers. I was the Mental Health Ally Lead for the CTSC, supporting over 70 members to engaged through their offices communication channels and with their colleagues, as well as hosting events to create a supportive environment through awareness of neurodiversity and challenging the stigma of mental health.

This project set out to support 800 people to improve their digital skills. The first step in this process was working with various community organisations to establish drop in sessions or classroom style lessons and coordinate how to publicise the project to increase its footfall. This project became successful through listening to the needs of our prospective clients and the organisations that are supporting them, as a means to understand and remove their barriers to learning whenever possible. To maximise the reach of this project I have trained volunteers and new staff members to provide guidance and support independently, as well as use a data capturing system. In its first year the project exceeded its target, helping over one thousand clients with digital skills through face to face and classroom settings, and the project is now in its second year, focusing on supporting people who are making or maintaining local or national government accounts, such as Universal Credit.

My Job is to help individuals by finding out where they are up to with their problems, how capable they are of taking the action we recommend and providing clients with the information they need to move forward with their problem.
