I began my career by volunteering for Citizens Advice Manchester, then went on be employed to deliver and help to scale their Digital advice channels and Digital Inclusion projects, working with community partners, colleagues and training volunteers to increase the reach and quality of the services. Over time the new services dealt with 14,000 enquires per year through localized support. To hone in on my coaching skills, I then worked as a People Development coach for the Courts and Tribunals Service Centre, where I coached, supervised and trained cohorts new staff to deliver multiple service over a 6 week period. I supported 100s of new members of staff and work with the live operations, training and service improvement team to establish the CTSC in Salford. During my time there, I was the lead for the Mental Health Allie network in the North West and supported over 60 colleagues across the 4 service centers, as well as working with the Service Improvement team to evolve the way crime and single justice services are delivered in the UK. I am now a Digital Skills Coach for Degree Apprentices at Manchester Metropolitan University, where I coach and provide pastoral support for apprentices on UX and Digital technology Solutions specialisms through their 4 year journey. I have supported several apprentices to attain their Degree Apprenticeship so far and work with a case load of apprentices, and their line managers, from a mix of backgrounds, work disciplines and environments to ensure each apprentice achieves their aspirations for their chosen specialism. As part of the volunteering I do, I am the Impact Officer of Global Shapers Manchester Hub, supporting hub members to refine and deliver impact projects, as well as supporting the hub management. I delivered supported in several hub projects, as well as supporting in the hub's website building, social media, recruitment and onboarding.

Project Lead For Digital Inclusion ServicesCitizens Advice Manchester Sep 2015 - Mar 2021ManchesterThis project set out to support 800 people to improve their digital skills. The first step in this process was working with various community organisations to establish drop in sessions or classroom style lessons and coordinate how to publicise the project to increase its footfall. This project became successful through listening to the needs of our prospective clients and the organisations that are supporting them, as a means to understand and remove their barriers to learning whenever possible. To maximise the reach of this project I have trained volunteers and new staff members to provide guidance and support independently, as well as use a data capturing system. In its first year the project exceeded its target, helping over one thousand clients with digital skills through face to face and classroom settings, and the project is now in its second year, focusing on supporting people who are making or maintaining local or national government accounts, such as Universal Credit. -
