I assisted in the creation of educational content materials in Spanish for university class visits to the library. I also translated and transcribed 18th and 19th-century manuscripts (letters, journals, logbooks, etc.) from Spanish into English.

The Undergraduate Representative on the Department of History's Committee for Undergraduate Studies.Responsibilities included: voting on budget allocations, advocating and providing support for transfer student resources within the department, aiding in history course selections, and alleviating concerns for students in the departmental honors program.

Research Assistant in the Department of American Culture's Program in Latina/o Studies.I researched performance artists in Puerto Rico and its diasporic communities. The research topic's focus is primarily on how these communities and performance artists' works have been affected and influenced by the island's political, social, economic conditions, and natural disasters. Particularly, we investigated queer performance artists and the relationship between their work and sexuality, gender, race, class, and colonial status.As part of my work in this project, I presented at the 2023 Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) Symposium.
