My last term as a active member of Tribe. Highlights of my time at Tribe during 2017 - 2021:- +400k€ raised funds (Strategic partnerships created and maintained)- Scaling to Platform6 startup house as community operator and working in both operative and strategic level of the house- Running events and projects such as Startup World Cup Finland and American Entrepreneurial Challenge and other smaller- Mentoring people in beginning of their entrepreneurial journey

On my second term of being chairperson of Tribe Tampere, my main focus was improving board processes and strategy of the association.

When Tribe Tampere moved to Platform6 startup house with other collaborators, it was needed to create three employed roles to the organization: two startup community leads and marketing lead.I was hired to be the other community lead focusing on processes, collaboration in-house and strategy work. The move to startup house was a big change for Tribe Tampere and leading the community in a change was a huge learning place for me.

Startup ecosystem development stolen my heart and it was my time to step into even bigger boots. In my first term of being chairperson of Tribe Tampere, I had a focus on administration and board functions of the association.

After a year as member in Tribe community, I chosen to take bigger role while I was also developing the startup ecosystem with a student angle as chairperson of Tampere ES.

AEC is a project of US Embassy in Finland that aims to raise entrepreneurial mindset among the Primary School students (7-9 grade) and Upper Secondary School students. On 2021 Embassy was seeking a partner to organize the competition online and Tribe Tampere was chosen as organizer after public tendering process. During the project our team organized total of 6 pitching competitions online and Bootcamp physically at Tampere for the winners. As from all the event projects I have been so far, this did taught me the most about team dynamics and leadership.

It was my time to slowly exit the board and give room for new players to develop the entrepreneurial student scene further in Tampere. I have still been actively mentoring each board after this.

Our board managed to pull off a great year that changed the status of Tampere Entrepreneurship Society. As key takes we managed to create strategic partnership with Tampere Universities and organize a +30 events for students linked to startup entrepreneurship. The crown jewel of the year was organizing the event Sauna Pitching first time ever in November 2019.

Year in the board of Tampere ES taught me a lot of startups, ecosystem level thinking and organizing small scale events.

After running small scale events it was my time to try-out my wings as a Project Manager of a bigger event. Startup World Cup concept could be described as a worldwide Eurovision of startups: Every country chooses their representative with a local selection competition and these Startups get to compete to Silicon Valley for the 1M USD price. Our team executed the selection competition in Finland and it was supposed to happen in Pakkahuone, Tampere with a 500 visitors (investors, startups, business leaders, ecosystem builders and students) and 10 best Finnish startup companies pitching their business to the jury consisting business angels. However, the world changing Spring 2020 also stopped our event plans in the last weeks as it did for many other. We still managed to pull the project trhough by transforming everything in the competition online in two weeks. This experience really taught me about not giving up under unexpected circumstances and finding other ways to hit the targets and providing the value for shareholders.

A proper growth company experience that taught me a lot about entrepreneurship. During my time at FitWood we managed to get over the so called valley of death and proceed to scaling phase.
