About John Mcdonough

Most of my effort currently is as the Section Emergency Coordinator/State RACES Officer and AUXCOMM Emergency Management coordinator for the State of Michigan. I work closely with the Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division of the Michigan State Police to provide backup communications for emergencies and disasters. I oversee a network of about 2000 volunteers across the state who offer their services when incidents occur.More recently I was part of a team rewriting the ARES Manual, and have been participating in the FEMA Region 5 Emergency Communication Coordination Working Group (RVRECCWG).On occasion I consult on software Six Sigma, providing Six Sigma consulting specifically as it applies to I/T and especially software development. With industry experience ranging from embedded to enterprise systems, provides unique insight into the issues surrounding software, and how to improve productivity and quality in the software process.Specialties: Requirements Management, Sizing/Estimating
