I am an innovator with over 40 years of experience at the intersection of games, sports, data, entertainment, and technology; a seasoned Operator, Founder, Advisor and Director in public and private businesses around the world - I spend my time in the digital media sandbox I have served as a Director for Take Two Interactive since 2007, and am the Chair of Corp Gov and a member of both the Comp and Audit Committees. I also advise a variety of public and private businesses in sports, tech, and games. With my sister, Kim, I am a Partner at OptIn Studios,, currently developing scripted television shows. As a sophomore at Princeton University in 1978, I began an 8-year stint at ABC Sports where I worked closely with broadcast legends Howard Cosell, Keith Jackson,, and Jim McKay on premiere sporting events around the world including NCAA Football, The Indy 500, The Kentucky Derby, and the Lake Placid, Sarajevo, LA, and Seoul Olympics. In addition, for two years following the 1984 Olympic Games, I served as Special Assistant to Roone Arledge - the President of ABC Sports & News, and worked with the luminaries David Brinkley, Ted Koppel, and Peter Jennings.Following graduation from HBS,, I served as Executive Producer of a Lifetime TV movie, and co-created a dramatic series for CBS TV, while operating CRB Broadcasting - an 11-station radio group based in NYC. In 1992, I entered technology as VP of New Media at Times Mirror Magazines, developing the first online fantasy sports offering on “The Sporting News”, and helped create both The Golf Channel and The Outdoor Life Channel. In 1994 - while President of BMG GAMES (RockStar) - I oversaw the development and launch of the games division and green-lighted the mega hit “Grand Theft Auto,” along with “Moto,” and “Spec Ops” in a 13-title portfolio featuring some of the industry’s most popular and profitable games. During the years of 1995 &1996, as President I oversaw the launch of MTV Russia; the first American cable offering in Russia. In 1997, I coordinated the purchase of “Unified Gamers Online,” retooled the network, and launched UGO. As Founder & CEO, I built UGO into a premiere affiliate game network – reaching 30,000,000 users - successfully navigated the 2001 economic upheaval, and sold the business to Hearst, Inc. in 2007.I advise multiple public media businesses and proudly support 7 great digital founders. I live in Ct with my family practice Ashtanga yoga with my wife and have recently co-authored a series of articles on how game technology is affecting entertainment and sports.
