Managed a team of engineers in the design, development, and commissioning of control systems for large scale solar thermal power plants. Oversaw hardware design, including control panels, network design, instrumentation, and cabling. Oversaw software design, from requirements definition to implementation and testing.Managed the controls efforts for a 125 MW plant in India and a 44 MW plant in Australia and two smaller demonstration plants in US.Built an excellent controls team by developing job requisitions, reviewing resumes, networking, and conducting interviews. Developed and deployed significant improvements to tracking software which have proven critical to successful demonstration of Solar Thermal technology.Implemented and oversaw a comprehensive Software Development and Maintenance Plan, including the deployment and maintenance of a software repository and issue tracker.

Worked in Germany for 1 ½ years, managing the development of the control system for 2,150 Heliostats, including the design and development of a SCADA HMI as well as the design of the field communications and power wiring. Used German language fluency to communicate with and interface between subcontractors.Managed the assembly and commissioning efforts for field electronics and the complete field, leading teams of up to 20 assembly workers and commissioning personnel.

Member of Flight Software team for TIROS and DMSP Satellites.Implemented and tested necessary code changes for an upgraded attitude determination system retrofit on DMSP Satellite. Coded mainly in assembly language, along with some Perl and C programming. Developed and released patches for orbiting satellites to increase life of spacecraft, following Lockheed Martin's strict Software Maintenance practices.Debugged and analyzed anomalies during test phases to resolve mission critical issues.
