I have a B.A. in Philosophy and Education as well as completed graduate coursework. I am currently an Assistant Property Manager for CHA owned Senior Housing facility, in Chicago. I understand CHA/HUD policies and procedures as well as a working knowledge of property management. I am recertification specialist with government funded housing (Section 8 and RAD programs). I have reached and maintained a 100% occupancy rate and 97% of monthly average of rent collections. My daily duties include but are not limited to; Procurement, Staff and Maintenance supervision, Budget and Inventory, Administrative compliance, recertification of residential leases, as well as maintained a good rapport with my 200 plus tenants and guests of the building. I am an effective leader and a finisher. I am a self-starter with ambitions to be great at whatever task is attached to my name. I have great customer relations skills and like to help others figure out solutions, even if that means alternative or new methods. I know how to manage a crisis, as well as stay leveled headed in stressful/high energy situations. I have over 15 years of professional experience in addition to 10 plus years of supervisory/management experience. My skills include effective written, verbal as well as oratory skills. I am also proficient in Microsoft Suite and 365 (word, excel, email, power point, etc.)
