PSYC 4540 - Practical Applications of PsychologyAs a sessional lecturer, I led and managed a team of 2 teaching assistants to provide support and instruction to about 30 end-of-degree students. I was responsible for developing and implementing a course that covered a wide range of topics related to the application of behavioural science in domains such as consumption, citizenship, online behaviour, criminal justice, health, preparedness, personnel selection, and discrimination, among others. The course adopts a problem-based learning approach in which students use their knowledge to assess a problem, consider solutions, and communicate recommendations to diverse audiences.

PSYC 1000 - Introduction to PsychologyAs a sessional lecturer, I led and managed a team of 3 teaching assistants to provide support and instruction to a diverse student population of 300 individuals. I was responsible for developing and implementing a course that covered a wide range of topics related to human behaviour and mental processes using a scientific approach.

PSYC 2310 - Social PsychologyAs a sessional lecturer, I led and managed a team of 8 teaching assistants to provide support and instruction to a diverse student population of 250+ individuals. I was responsible for developing and implementing a course that covered a wide range of topics related to human social behaviour. The course included a primer on quantitative methods, social cognition, self-concept, attitude formation and change, social influence, group processes, attraction, interpersonal relationships, discrimination, aggression, prosocial behaviour, & choice.

Led an applied project on the evaluation of the use of persuasion tactics in terrorist recruitment messages.

Conducted a comprehensive review on the factors contributing to violent radicalization and terrorism.

PSYC 2310 - Social PsychologyPrepared course materials, coordinated a team of 5 teaching assistants, and graded assignments for 350+ students. Major topics covered in this course included: Quantitative methods, social cognition, the self, attitude structure and change, social influence, intra and intergroup processes, attraction, interpersonal relationships, discrimination, aggression, altruism, judgment and choice.

As a Research Scientist at Influência - a research group within the Univ. of Brasília specializing in applications of behavioural science - I developed and delivered customized training modules for 100+ police officers of Brasília, offering evidence-based insights on human smuggling, fraud schemes, and crisis management. This project resulted in three presentations at an international conference. Also, with a team of four, I designed and facilitated a training program on evidence-based negotiation techniques for 25+ police officers from the Special Police Operations Battalion of Brasília, a top-tier, last-resource tactical unit with extensive experience in complex and dangerous missions. Furthermore, I collaborated with various disciplines to guide the planning and design of research projects. I also oversaw and assisted in the development of the lab’s website.
