The JET Programme is an international exchange program coordinated by the Japanese Government which hires and trains teachers who move to Japan to teach English to Japanese students in the public education system. In my position on the JET Programme, I assisted in the preparation of English lesson materials for senior high school students in two schools in Hiroshima Prefecture. I also helped to host the English Speaking Society club after school for one of my schools, and assisted in coaching students for English speech competitions outside of class time. I was also responsible for judging a number of speech competitions. In addition, I also helped to facilitate establishing sister-school relationships with international schools.

Community Support Connections – Meals on Wheels and More is a not-for-profit organization that assists seniors and adults with disabilities to live in their homes with independence and dignity with the assistance of over 700 volunteers.
