This was a hands on position with the goal of analyzing and documenting expression patterns of high priority target genes within, but not exclusive to the central nervous system. The knowledge of anatomy and its relation to function are decisive elements for the position. The use of various techniques to generate expression data such as RNA to RNA in-situ hybridization, immunofluorscence, immunohistochemistry and many others are employed. The expression patterns must be studied, captured and presented using digital imaging and presentation skills. This position is essential for our in-house drug development as well as delivering to my company's various contracts with strategic alliance partnerships. I have become well adept at the use of various instruments including the Aperio scan scope and software, the Leica confocal scope and others.

This position involved sales and knowledge of Histopathology equipment and reagents serving both Clinical and Research markets. Lab Vision has been in existence for more than 10 years providing OEM sales exclusively through distribution in the United States. In late 2005 Fisher Scientific purchased Lab Vision and began sales direct to the market. Lab Vision is now a Thermo-Shandon company.
