Managed the supplier quality program for raw materials used in the manufacture of API, which required an extensive working knowledge of 21 CFR 110, 21 CFR 211, and ICH Q7 regulatory standards. Authored quality procedures including the generation, review and submission of Annual Product Quality Review reports for specific products and participated in both client and regulatory audits.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a technical glass factory including management of supervisors, ensuring customer satisfaction through defect free products delivered on time, developing and enforcing corrective actions, maintaining inventory and reducing cost of goods sold, training operators and supervisors, and supporting safety and quality departments.

Supervised 8-10 union employees on alternating shifts in the chemical Etch department. Achieved company objectives in safety, quality, cost, delivery, productivity and environment through use of established procedures, training, and disciplinary action.

Used SPC tools to monitor key process variables for pit furnaces, pitch impregnation, and carbon product properties. Performed ISO9001:2008 audits of varying departments throughout the organization and participated on several Kaizens achieving White Belt Certification. Managed union employees in the Quality Department starting in January 2014.

Engineered improvements for refractory products while developing and enforcing corrective/preventive actions to maintain product yields. Effectively recycled scrap material into raw batch, reducing cost of goods sold. Developed new business relationship with jet-milling contractor in Pennsylvania.
