With this company, I manage and support the IT frameworks used for broadcasts by The Golf Channel, including communications, video encoding, and social media distribution.The scope of my responsibilities includes providing immediate response to issues that have the potential to disrupt on-air productions and live coverage of remote events.I led the installation and management of NAS, SAN, and archive systems that hold petabytes of data. I also manage production firewalls and define access rules to protect systems and data.I also plan and execute hardware upgrades and prepare zones for new hardware deployments. I led projects and teams installing and maintaining hardware and software at commercial client and Education client sites, including EA Games, All Children’s Hospital, SECO Power, and public school districts in Florida.My direct reports in this role included field service technicians and the Zendesk help desk team; together we supported clients in Orlando and Tampa.I also tracked an inventory of assets deployed at client sites to ensure accurate payments for leased systems.I developed expertise in smart classroom technologies that included hardware, networks, and Audio/Visual innovations including smartboards and projectors.
