During this time, our customer size grew from $15M to $700M and my group grew from 15 to 100 people.- Led a maturation and scalability overhaul culminating with successfully commissioning the world’s largest battery (~1.7GWh) using 80,000 devices running Powin’s proprietary firmware and software.- Revived stalled deals to capture over $300M of additional revenue through creative technical solutions.- Led software development for manufacturing testing, embedded development, on-premises and cloud software, web UI, DevOps, and cybersecurity. This included QA, customer testing, and field support.Under my leadership, my team delivered software regulated as national critical infrastructure to 150 sites worldwide consisting of 200,000 embedded systems and Linux servers with remote command and control in AWS. Our architecture was massively distributed, fault tolerant, and highly available and the telemetry fed a real-time AI/ML system to optimize performance and minimize operational costs.I closed large, complex deals by negotiating performance obligations while minimizing liability. Negotiated vendor contracts to reduce cost and increase value. Made build vs. buy decisions for software components and tooling. As the business matured from startup to industry leader, I rapidly scaled my team using elements of Lean and Kanban. I focused my team on reinforcing, refining, and scaling the software they already built instead of being distracted with reinvention.

Through Lean and servant leadership, I removed bottlenecks and coordinated solution-level releases as the product line owner. To accommodate SaaS revenue growth of ~40% YoY, I focused on automation and a DevOps culture to avoid exploding headcount.I built a Customer Advisory Board, managed portfolio roadmap, and engaged with the CEO and other C-suite leaders to brief them on market trends and product line performance (revenue and subscriber count).
