Wide range of experience and responsibility in challenging positions of increasing responsibility ranging from entry-level Communications Officer / Special Police Officer with subsequent promotions to Patrolman / EMT, Traffic Safety Officer, Sergeant / Patrol Supervisor, Lieutenant / Watch Commander and Administrative Lieutenant. Primary AOR included municipality designated as urban center; state and interstate highways; multiple healthcare facilities and hospitals including large Level II Trauma Center; international general aviation airport (primary GA field for Air Force One / Marine One ops in region); commuter rail and freight rail facilities and rights-of-way, municipal, county and federal parklands; several public and private schools; student populations from four colleges / universities; affluent suburban neighborhoods; public housing projects; regional jail; county offices and courthouse complex; luxury hotel & conference facilities; and diverse daytime service populations of 75,000-125,000 people. Active duty Officer in Charge supervising all operations of detachment responsible for training all USCG personnel deploying to U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. OIC of HazMat / Customs inspection team embedded with U.S. Army in combat zone. Cross-trained as Customs Border Clearance Agent and USDA APHIS inspector. Deployed to Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Oman for various missions. Worked closely with all service branches, Army Military Police (MP) and Criminal Investigations Division (CID). Served as Medic at Staff Sgt. Heathe N. Craig Joint Theater Hospital, Bagram, Afghanistan.

Federal Police Officer serving in various positions of increasing responsibility from entry-level CG Police Officer to Deputy Chief of Police at USCG Training Center Cape May, NJ; transferred to NYC in 1998, named Chief of Police at USCG ACTNY (now Sector New York) immediately following 9/11/2001 attacks with responsibility for all activities of shore-based, uniformed, armed federal police force operating marked patrol vehicles and protecting federal properties and critical infrastructure in the NYC / Northern NJ region. Supervised and conducted personnel / VIP protection during the Republican National Convention, OpSail, and United Nations General Assembly DHS-designated NSSEs, the rededication ceremony for the Statue of Liberty, and other high visibility public events. Heavy interaction with all federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies in the NYC region. Remained sworn CGPD Aux police officer through October 2009.
