In my younger years I was a hippie backpacker and supported myself by cooking in various Seattle restaurants. In my mid thirties I cut my hair (I had some back then) and changed careers. For 30 years I worked as a technical communication professional first for Bently Nevada Corporation and then for GE Oil and Gas. In my position as an instructional developer, I enjoyed finding ways to describe the complex instrumentation that we manufactured in simple and concise training modules. I retired from GE on January 2016 and then worked part time as a contractor in the GE Digital Solutions training development department until September 2017. I am interested in part time contract work.
