I propelled this first digital, cloud-based commercial bank in the US from startup through OCC charter, setting the technology operations strategy and overseeing all technology and information security—no security incidents while leading the team. • Led all technical efforts and grew a team of engineers to develop in-house APIs and mobile/web applications interfacing the core banking platform to customers. Matured the technology team (engineering, IT Ops, and Information Security) from a startup culture to a run-the-bank professional culture.• Directed a global development team (India, Romania, US), delivering mobile and web applications and middleware development efforts using agile methodologies. Oversaw the execution of new product development within go-to-market strategy and regulatory requirements.• Created a computing environment that enabled seamless migration to 100% remote workforce with no disruption in daily activities.• Launched the Vendor Management Program to manage risks and costs associated with SaaS offerings and a global vendor audience.• Formed and served as Chair of the Bank’s Enterprise Change Management Committee and all project management. During my time with EY, I built teams and solutions that helped FSOs (financial services organizations) create sustainable growth and meet their strategic business objectives; financial services client experience spanned card services, banking, Fintech, and wealth management. • Acted as the Global Head of Wealth Technology (CTO) for Thompson Reuters (TR) from 2017 through mid-2018 to stabilize the organization ahead of splitting the business and selling half. Led a 387-person global development team (FTEs across 6 countries) supporting TR’s global wealth management business (BETA, BETA online, Thomson One, etc.).• Drove TR’s migration to a Lean/Agile development environment. Assisted in developing future model for core business to move away from legacy Cobol-based system. Captured $4.5M in annual savings by reducing number of data centers to manageable level.

I joined this $6.5B retail bank shortly after a new CIO to establish an information security program, and network security and network management teams. I led Information Security Operations, Engineering and Architecture, IT Risk and Compliance, Network Infrastructure, Telecommunications, IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity, Enterprise Governance Risk and Compliance, Mainframe Security (AS-400).• Devised a board-approved 3-year technology investment in security and delivered all projects related to the investment on-time and on-budget (SIEM, DLP, UTM FW).• Established a security team and operation from scratch. Hired, trained, and led the Security, Disaster Recovery, and Network teams. Provided an executive-level presence for the information security practice at the bank, partnering with other senior executives to create a culture of security.• Designed and built a Security Operations Center, then combined it with the network team to form a Network/Security Operations Center to serve as hub for Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) and to proactively monitor all threats and to manage a nationwide network.• Architected and rolled out an Identity Management solution, an anomaly detection solution, and an end-point security program (DLP) to reduce risk; designed all security controls around the eCommerce portal.• Implemented several frameworks—COBIT, ITIL, PCI, and NIST—to ensure governance and consistency of delivery
