Since graduating with a BEng in Systems Engineering in 1990 I have worked in a number of roles in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Insustry. In the mid 1990s I retrained with an MBA and since then have been working in the Health Economics, Market Access and Health Technology Assessment field.I founded The HERON Group in 1999 and, after five years as CEO in HERON's UK operating company, became CEO of HERON Evidence Development LLC in 2007. In 2013 HERON was acquired by PAREXEL International and I transitioned to Corporate VP and Worldwide Head of HERON at PAREXEL.In February 2015 I embarked on a new start up with MyFampal. An initiative started on 20 March 2020 to rapidly build a community to develop a free toolkit to reduce the risk of COVID-19.Purpose: To provide a pragmatic, evidence-based set of free tools for concerned members of the public to reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19 or spreading it within the local community. The guidance is not focused on a specific country. Eg planning templates to organize food and medication deliveries; Rationale: There are numerous sources of evidence-based information available to educate members of the public on what individuals should do to limit the spread of COVID-19 in the population, but a very limited set of tools to translate national public health guidance into practical actions that can be taken by individuals in local communities.
