▪ Support the F-35 program as a Liaison Engineer working with subsystems, installations, and composite structures.▪ Understand product build and assembly of the F-35 Center Fuselage.▪ Material Review Board authority for disposition of nonconforming parts.▪ Support assembly line with aircraft structural parts and assemblies utilizing metallic/composite materials.▪ Perform timely dispositions for nonconforming parts, assemblies, and installations. ▪ Communicate across and work with multi-disciplined teams to determine most cost-efficient direction.▪ Coordinate with multiple disciplines to determine solutions to problems quickly and efficiently. ▪ Work with CATIA, MES and PLM software to aid in the dispositioning process.

• Assumes engineering responsibility for module or subsystem design from concept design through manufacturing transfer for tools used in manufacturing and service.• Responsible for adherence to an internal development process in all stages of the design cycle.• Understands methods relating to clean product design, for use in a class1000 cleanroom.• Performs analysis design for manufacturability in low volume products and tools, and design for configuration management.• Generates module or system concepts to meet product requirements.• Qualifies designs using production modules and facilities.• Drives full documentation of design including, BOM, drawings, and procedures.• Develops verification and qualification test plans and executes to those plans.• Supports development activities using the Product Development Process including concept reviews, design reviews, proto builds, pilot builds, verification testing, etc., with records and completion of all open action items.• Leads dFMEA and pFMEA exercises.• Responsible for the research and selection of new suppliers with potential for turn-key provision of key subsystems. • Works closely with a team of internal engineers in an effort to embitter the entire team.• Interacts with cross-functional staff including engineers, scientists, manufacturing, suppliers, and QA to resolve quality issues.• Ability to translate, statistically analyze data, and effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats.• Experience in 3D/solid modeling; Siemens NX/TC.• Experience with engineering development processes; scope definition, conceptualization, design reviews, bills of materials, manufacturing documentation, assembly documentation, configuration documentation, qualification test development, etc.• Applies knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

• Design mechanical components, assemblies, and drawings with high proficiency and attention to detail using Solidworks 3D CAD software.• Develop products from inception to production.• Coordinate efforts of technical and non-technical multidisciplinary teams.• Interact with lead engineers to develop conceptual system level layouts, detail designs, and detail drawings for mechanical products including rack enclosures, housing for COTS equipment, etc.• Develop solutions to technical issues with a strong understanding of engineering principles and problem solving skills• Work with U.S. Navy program acquisition, shipbuilding, ship design, construction and COTS equipment.• Track engineering change notices, requests, and assemblies manufactured with emphasis to the respective engineering project subsystem.• Redline engineering drawings to ensure parts and assemblies are manufactured with minimal error.• Develop technical drawings and procure prototypes that pass military standard testing. • Perform calculations and analysis to assess heat transfer and structural integrity (stiffness/stress/strain) at the subsystem and component level. • Establish bills of materials. • Apply creativity, experience, and analytical abilities to generate innovative design approaches.• Work closely and collaboratively with clients and engineering personnel as required.• Utilize ASME Y14.5 GD&T throughout design and manufacturing processes. • Work with manufacturing, engineering, and project management to resolve any design related issue impacting production and to improve product design.

• Support production requirements, product problem resolution and product enhancements of industrial gas turbine engines, compressors, power generators and related products. • Develop and qualify product improvements as they relate to safety, durability, performance, production manufacturing, overhaul re-manufacturing, velocity and cost reduction.• Manage the systems composite product design using Pro E/Creo to design and modify drawings, assemblies and parts based on engineering change requests (ECR).• Participate in design and drawing reviews, prototype builds and verification testing and documentation.• Design, maintain and test the control system components for new equipment and aftermarket, specifically mechanical components. • Troubleshoot and correct project issues and ensure that the standard products are updated through the ECR process. • Interface with various organizations at Solar utilizing excellent written and verbal communications skills. • Support of engineering specifications and documentation, mechanical analysis and calculations, component durability assessment, development engine build, hardware supplier issues, manufacturing issues, manufacturing qualification to engineering requirements, manufacturing process improvements and qualification.

• Review, Update and verify Installation Requirement Drawings (IRD), Technical Data Package (TDP), and Network templates and other engineering documentation to ensure proper alignment and concurrence. • Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) in support of lab procurement for CANES Engineering MOD effort.• Develop specification documents in alignment with CANES Functional Specifications and Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) for design and implementation of new hardware.• Provide direct support to CANES Deputy Lead Engineer with changes to Technical and Installation drawings in regards to any changes and documentation.• Determine solutions for current hardware with Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) to find follow on solutions that meet Form, Fit, and Function.• Modify CANES baseline documents in the design to meet test efforts and contract productions.• Support MSC (Military Sealift Command) LNU/C4I Variant design• Perform design analysis based on MSC requirements matrix.

• Teach and assist students in creating designs using Solidworks CAD program• Operate and maintain Ultimaker2 3D printers • Print designs with PLA and ABS material utilizing CURA software
