In addition to my responsibilities with Global MD (below), I am now also responsible for setting and implementing enrollment management strategies, facilitating the admissions process from application through matriculation, prospective student marketing and communications, and serving as the primary point of contact for all prospective student inquiries for the college programs for all graduate and professional programs within the College of Health Sciences - including our existing programs in Clinical Translational Sciences (MS & PhD), Genetic Counseling (MS), and Health Sciences Design (grad certificate); and our developing Doctor of Physical Therapy (launching Fall 2025, pending accreditation) and Physician Assistant (launching Fall 2026, pending accreditation) programs.

In this role, I am responsible for recruiting and admitting highly qualified, well-rounded, and diverse students for the new Global Medical Degree - a joint program of the University of Arizona and the University of Western Australia.Working with the UWA Admissions team, I will facilitate the admissions process and establish a high-quality enrollment management strategy, oversee marketing and communications, and serve as the point person for all program inquiries.Responsibilities include:--Plan, develop, and administer a comprehensive recruitment program to promote the GMD program nationally and internationally in alignment with strategic objectives--Collect and utilize data to inform recruitment strategies--Maintain a strong social media presence--Oversee all aspects of medical school application and selection processes--Develop and implement new student on-boarding and orientation programs--Provide leadership, supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff

In this new role with the W.A. Franke Honors College, I continue to oversee all aspects of high-ability student recruitment from early prospect outreach through application, admission, and yield activities. On the marketing side, I manage all Honors College marketing and strategic communications initiatives for an array of constituent groups including alumni, donors, current students and their parents, and the broader UA and Tucson communities. This includes branding, print publications, and electronic/digital communications.

In this position I have the privilege of overseeing national recruitment of students to the University of Arizona Honors College. Working in close collaboration with the UA Office of Admissions, I develop recruitment strategies, communication plans, and events aimed at National Scholars and other high-ability students. In addition, I oversee the top-notch Honors College Recruitment & Outreach staff, manage K-12 student-oriented programs such as Honors Summer Academy and Xtreme Discovery Teams, and oversee all recruitment marketing, communication, and branding efforts.

Part of the mission of the BIO5 Institute is to inspire and train the next generation of scientists. As BIO5's EOT director, I oversaw all science education outreach initiatives aimed at K-12 students, K-12 teachers, and undergraduate/graduate students. Oversaw recruitment & retention issues for undergraduate students in the life sciences. Managed a number of web-based data management tools designed to promote collaboration among life sciences researchers across the University of Arizona campus.

In this position with the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biophysics, I had two main areas of responsibility: 1) Research in the area of lipid metabolism in an insect (Manduca sexta) model system, and 2) Overseeing the K-5 science education outreach program The Manduca Project.
