The year was 1981, and my dad brought home a strange new box. He sat it gently on the desk, and I was immediately curious. "What's that, dad?" He called it a Xerox 820, and as he crawled underneath the desk to plug in the power cord, I had no idea how radically my life was about to change.I wrote my first line of BASIC at age 7 on that Xerox, fixing a chess game I had downloaded from a bulletin board on a 300 baud modem. My young mind was hooked, and by my twelfth birthday I had advanced to writing my own games in Pascal.Today, I'm a seasoned digital executive, leader, and strategist who has been designing and developing for the Web since the Web was born. I'm an expert in full-stack web development, everything from setting up servers in the cloud to design, building, and maintaining web applications and services.The majority of my experience is working with back-end frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Drupal, and WordPress. For data persistence and caching, I have used Firebase, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Reddis, Memcached, and Varnish.On the front-end, I am proficient with jQuery, Bootstrap, ReactJS, and Polymer.
