Jason Khoo is a seasoned global health and safety leader with nearly 20 years of experience across diverse sectors, including Financial Institutions, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, and Research & Development in Asia. Known for his proactive approach and winning mindset, Jason has consistently built high-performing teams and has a proven track record of driving business growth while ensuring safe operations in multiple markets.In his most recent role at Standard Chartered Bank, Jason played a pivotal role in shaping and executing the global health, safety, and wellbeing strategy. He was instrumental in achieving the re-certification of the IWBI Health and Safety Rating for 108 sites in Asia. Collaborating closely with supply partners and engaging diverse stakeholders, Jason has optimized operational processes and practices, enhancing health and safety standards across the region.Prior to this, Jason spent 12 years at Novartis, a leading global pharmaceuticals company. He began his tenure as the site head of health, safety and facilities management before transitioning to the regional head of health, safety, and environment for Asia. In this capacity, he built and led a high-performing regional team, working confidently with global and regional stakeholders to ensure safe operations and facilitate business expansion. A standout achievement was the development of an office safety handbook, which established minimum health and safety standards used globally across all commercial sites. His efforts ensured rigorous compliance with corporate safety standards, particularly in Fire and Life Safety, through strategic collaboration with real estate and facility management teams across Asia, Middle East and Africa. Jason was also a key member of Novartis’ global health, safety, and environment leadership team, where he contributed to corporate HSE strategy, supplier performance management, and the impact of environmental regulations on business operations.Earlier in his career, Jason made significant contributions to the Singapore healthcare sector. As the safety manager for the National Healthcare Group Polyclinics, he spearheaded the establishment of a health and safety management system for nine polyclinics, successfully reducing instances of needlestick injuries and patient falls. Jason holds an Honours Degree in Biotechnology from Monash University and has completed programs in Singapore Workplace Safety & Health and Fire Safety Management.
