Subject Matter Expert on the DC side of power inverters for electric vehicles (whether BEV’s, HEV’s, FCEV’s), both at component level as well as system level.I cover all electro/thermal aspects of power capacitor design for converters including modeling of inverter operation, determination of physical dimensions, calculation of ESR, loss models, thermal model, cooling, processing of drive profiles, calculation of lifetime usage, external bus bar design, specifications, etc.I model the interaction among components on a shared DC bus in order to predict component overload, resonant behavior, ripple current, ripple voltage, and load-sharing. My models quantify the high frequency losses in capacitors, HVDC cables, and batteries.My understanding of inductance makes me a key participant in the layout of vehicle architecture, inverters, power modules, and power capacitors.
