Jamie is one of the two partners of Turnbull and Kindred and has a combined background in accounting and information technology. Jamie started up a personal tax service business in ‘97 shortly after graduating with Business Operations from Devry Institute of Technology in ‘94. In ‘99, Jamie earned a diploma as a Business Information Technology Specialist from the Saint John campus of NBCC and he earned his accreditation as a Certified General Accountant in 2003. Jamie founded Turnbull and Kindred with his business partner Andrew Turnbull at the beginning of ‘09. Jamie is responsible for information systems and technology and he is also involved in business development, human resources, performance management and business operations for our firm. He enjoys providing similar services to our clients that include business planning, business valuations, cash flow forecasts, financial performance analysis, and implementing accounting solutions in addition to the typical yearend financial statements and tax returns.Aside from his regular day job, Jamie also serves as director and treasurer of the Sussex & Distrect Chamber of Commerce and during 2017 founded a team of community builders to launch Startup Sussex under Startup Canada.Jamie’s passion centers around designing accounting and information solutions that leverage the latest technology to deliver outstanding capabilities to small and medium sized businesses. Bringing together the right blend of people, process and technology makes it possible for smaller businesses to compete in larger markets. Creating these capabilities in smaller organizations frees up the founders of the business to pursue bigger opportunities by doing more of what they love doing. While not at the office, Jamie likes to spend time cycling, sailing and working out. To relax he enjoys simply hanging out at the beach or pool with his family or barbecuing on the deck with a cold one! He proudly considers himself an expert griller.
