Senior Network Administrator
Current• Designing, planning, installing, troubleshooting and solving WAN/LAN networks.• VPN creation and inter routing between Orange Kenya, Orange affiliates and business partners worldwide.• Building and support inter network remote sites via leased lines, fiber, ADSL, VSAT and MPLS to regional offices then to headquarters core network in Nairobi.• Installation and support of CCTV network in all 47 remote stations, server rooms and data recovery sites (DR).• Deployment and support of IP phones (Avaya).• Planning and carrying out preventive maintenance on all IT equipments including Computers, printers, Router, Switches, servers, CCV cameras, LAN/WAN, scanners, UPS and bandwidth optimization country wide.• Troubleshooting with other business partners, Orange HQ and other service providers like Dimension Data, Copycat, Cisco, HP during installations plus troubleshooting.• Troubleshooting internet with the local ISP (Jambonet).• Network administration and monitoring to ensure 97% network availability and 100% service availability.• Quarterly preventive maintenance and optimization on WAN/LAN, Computers, printers, applications and UPS.• Ensuring all faults reported must be resolved within time required and also escalations done to the relevant teams as guided by Company policy.• Preparation of weekly and monthly performance reports for management.• Participate in budgeting, tendering, evaluation and procurement of IT equipments.
