Intelligence Officer training and Aviation Intelligence Officer for Strike Fighter Squadron Nine Four (VFA-94) with Carrier Air Wing Seventeen (CVW-17) aboard USS NIMITZ (CVN-68). Led a team of three ashore and a watch team of five underway.

Worked in the Washington, D.C office of Senator Angus King (ME). Duties include responding to constituent phone calls; attending hearings and briefings on behalf of staffers; drafting memoranda for the Senator and staff; drafting letters to constituents and editing letters from Legislative Assistants to Executive Agencies; conducting research on behalf of Legislative Assistants; giving Capitol tours; communications responsibilities included compiling weekend press clippings of the Senator and other Maine delegation members for distribution to the DC and State staff.

Undergraduate admissions assistant in the M.B.A Admissions office during the academic year. Processed hundreds of applications; entered information into online database; frequently used Microsoft programs such as Excel and other data entry programs such as the University’s online Banner system, ApplyYourself, Hobsons Connect, PBworks, and Salesforce; helped organize information sessions for prospective MBA students.

Served as the undergraduate intern and assisted in the research and creation of an RFP for a STOP Grant from the Department of Justice; funds received were used to maintain a full-time attorney dedicated to prosecuting domestic violence cases. Assisted a prosecutor during a DUI trial and was responsible for the presentation of evidence to the jury as well as escorting in the State’s witnesses into the court. Transcribed police interrogations that yielded new information leading to the conviction of the defendant. Also had the opportunity to do a brief three day internship with Justice O’Neil and was able to observe proceedings closed to the public as well as drug court.

Worked in the Washington D.C. office of Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (ME-01). Duties included answering constituent phone calls, arranging constituent tours at the White House, Library of Congress, Bureau of Engraving and Printing and the United States Capitol as well as personally guiding tours of the Capitol. Also drafted letters to constituents regarding specific policy initiatives and bills.

Worked in the Accounts Payable Department. Responsible for organizing invoices and performing a check run twice weekly. Ensured that all checks were properly cut and the amounts and addresses were correct. Aided in inventory management by using invoices to locate and tag the asset. Created Excel spreadsheet to document the asset, tag number, serial number, and location for use by my superiors.
