Senior Consultant- Team Lead for organizational, leadership, and management capacity development for international OCDC member organizations including Land O'Lakes, GENEX, Equal Exchange, NCBA/CLUSA and ACDI/VOCA. USAID funded. Lead for design, development, and facilitation of e-learning series for organizational resiliency on leadership, remote program management, and collaboration. Including six hours vILT e-learning using asynchronous and synchronous content, facilitation and participation guides, and support materials package.

Remote

The Contact Project team was contracted to undertake a USAID funded a nine organization-wide needs assessment and design and deliver a bespoke e-learning package. I served as senior consultant and project design lead for the development of the Remote Management and Collaboration series of virtual capacity development workshops for OCDC members’ in remote work, management, leadership, communication, and collaboration. In addition to my role as project lead, I served as lead facilitator and designer for the suite of supporting content including cascade facilitation training guides, participant guides, and a bespoke e-learning repository as a self-paced learning resource using the latest e-learning platforms.

The Contact Project designed, developed, and implemented a professional capacity development program for the global Rotary International Peace Centers and Rotary International Peace Fellows. Fellows from the network of global Rotary Peace Centers will have access to modules on resiliency, safety and security, psycho-social trauma, and self-care to better equip them for the practical aspects of working in international development and peacebuilding. We have created a three-part blended learning curriculum consisting of six hours of online e-learning, facilitated in-person training sessions, a global discussion forum and individual coaching.

Peace ReWire, formerly known as Re-Wiring the Brain for Peace, is a collaboration between neuroscientists, peacebuilding experts, and spiritual leaders, who worked together to explore how to “rewire” the brain for peace. Funded by the United States Institute for Peace and the George Family Foundation, it serves as a consortium to mobilize an extraordinary community of top-level scientists, spiritual leaders, peacebuilding practitioners, and social change leaders from around the world. The consortium spent two years researching and analyzing research at the intersection of neuroscience, spirituality, and peacebuilding, and translating the results into very practical tools for inspiration and action. The Peace Rewire project includes: * Brain 101 - Covers the basics of neuroscience and it's implications for peacebuilding through state of the art research by practicing neuroscientists on attitude and behavioral change, neurophysiological aspects of rituals, and the role of trauma in brain function. * Database - The team read just about everything that has been written in the literatures on all three of the subfields. That material has been assembled into a machine-accessible data base and “mind map” of the field which you can access — and add to - as a global resource.*World Practices - As part of the research for the scientific data base on rituals and spiritual practices used around the world that demonstrate an understanding that can contribute to a more peaceful world. It builds on the broader understanding that there is strong scientific support for the ”real world” impact of mindfulness, mediation, yoga, and contemplative practices.*Training - Topics range from removing stress in your personal life and how communities and groups can engage in ritual and meaning-making, to the policy and political implications exploring the wide-ranging implications of this research.
