I'm the founder and CEO of The Contact Project, a global social enterprise providing platforms for human capacity development. My work focuses on human flourishing, healthy systems, and sustainable personal, organizational, and social development. TCP collaborates with people seeking sustainable relationships, social change, and global impact across sectors and around the world. Drawing from the intersections of neuroscience, systems thinking, human adaptability, and identity, I developed the Engaged Identity® approach as a practice to increase wellbeing, resilience, performance, and happiness. For me, learning to become a better human being is a lifelong journey, not just a job description. Whether it's in the classroom, the boardroom, or the living room, I'm always searching for better ways to #engageyourhuman Along the way, I've been Visiting Scholar at the Mind & Life Institute as a part of the development of the Engaged Identity® approach, served as the Professional Peacebuilding Practice Research Fellow at the Partnership for Sustainability and Peacebuilding at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee helping create curriculum for the professional and personal development of students and faculty, served on Global Advisory Boards for the Chetanalaya Institute for Spirituality and Peace in Kathmandu, Nepal, and SheForumAfrica, a women's led pan-African organization focused on the personal and professional growth, resilience and well-being of African women, and have developed and taught courses on resiliency, sustainability, inclusion, and social enterprise at American University in Washington, D.C I studied Buddhist Philosophy and Peace Studies at Naropa University, got a Masters degree in Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding from the Center for Justice & Peacebuilding at Eastern Mennonite University, with specializations in Organizational Leadership, Identity, and Trauma, then finished my PhD in Peace Studies from the University of New England, Australia where my research looked at the efficacy of the Engaged Identity® approach across cultural and contextual differences.
