A researcher with a keen interest in projects related to use of Information and Communication Technologies for Development of Education (ICT4DE). Within the research space I am focusing on improving In-Service Teacher Training programs within Higher Education sector in India. My professional career started as a Software engineer with a focus on Quality Control and Assurance. During this period I was involved in migration projects where the challenge is to bring up a completely new system which is far more efficient and robust than the existing one. The domain of this work was related to Transaction Processing, covering both offline and online processes.I did my post graduation from Centre for Technology Alternatives for Rural Areas (CTARA) in Technology and Development (T&D) at IIT Bombay. For my T&D dissertation I had studied the ICT4DE model adopted by the state of Kerala (IT@School) in India and looked at a SWOT analysis for its replication.As part of the research work I was part of the design and implementation team of 3 large scale (Between 1000-5000 participants) In-Service Faculty Professional Development workshops delivered through A-VIEW system. The workshop used MOODLE as its LMS and were focusing on the theme of Educational Technology for Engineering Teachers (ET4ET).A common link that is connecting my professional experience and my current path is the quest for improvements within the system using the power of technology.
