From creating ad campaigns to writing press releases to making marketing decisions, it was my responsibility to help shape the way the world sees us and to get more children and families through our doors.

The UC Santa Cruz Center for Games and Playable Media researches diverse topics, from game authoring tools and story structures to automatic game generation or game analysis. With five labs, including one of the largest technical games groups in the world, the Center brings together some of the brightest minds in natural language generation, artificial.

Publishing Mondays, Weekend Santa Cruz is a weekly online magazine dedicated to arts, entertainment and fun in Santa Cruz County. Through a mix of features and easy-to-read listings, Weekend Santa Cruz aims to be the one stop that help locals and visitors plan their time off and answer the question, “Hey, what are you doing this weekend?”

Duties included publicizing all shows for The Center, especially those in their Broadway, Jazz, Cabaret, Classical and Dance seasons. Maintained positive press relations, generating coverage through pitches and press releases. Helped publicize the 20th anniversary and 2006 opening of the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall and Samueli Theater. Media.

Planned and maintained copy on the Neutrogena Web site, edited articles, and helped advertise promotions. Wrote the copy for Retin-A Micro, Renova, Grifulvin, Spectazole and Centany sites for pharmaceutical company OrthoNeutrogena and completed copy for Mattel’s Human Resources site.
