    Produced & directed THE OPPOSITION for ESPN's 30-for-30 documentary series. SUMMARY: In the wake of the 1973 military coup in Chile, American-backed dictator Augusto Pinochet transformed Santiago’s National Stadium into a concentration camp where political opponents were tortured and assassinated. Only two months later, that same stadium was scheduled to host a decisive World Cup qualifier between Chile and the Soviet Union. Despite protests, FIFA’s own investigation, and the Soviets’ eventual boycott, the Chilean team still played the game as planned, qualifying for the 1974 World Cup on a goal scored against no one.

The story was honored with an Overseas Press Club Award for best international business story of 2011 and nominated for an Emmy. • "Islamophobia" examined the growing fear of Islam on both sides of the Atlantic through the eyes of Tommy Robinson, the leader of the far-right English Defense League, and America's own Pamela Geller, co-founder of Stop the Islamization of America. • "This (Illegal) American Life" followed the lives of two undocumented immigrants in California: one a strawberry picker living in an Oxnard flophouse, the other a UCLA student who crossed the border in the trunk of a car at age three. Their stories are a testament to both the power of the American Dream and the failure of American border policies. • "Soccer's Lost Boys" uncovered the exploitation and trafficking of young West African soccer players. Shot in Ghana, Morocco and France, the story was nominated for a 2010 Sports Emmy in the journalism category.
