We are also responsible for product development for products for the nordic markets which includes polymer modified bitumen, industrial grades, emulsions, ECO solutions and penetration grade.We are also responsible for pricing, budgets, forecasts and continuous follow up on performance.Above this we are involved and responsible for audits of both suppliers and delivery sites according to Eurobitume standards.In my position this means that we work on a Nordic and European level, which means understanding in all nordic languages, fluent in english. Extended travel throughout Europe with approximately 60 nights in hotels, and 150 days of travel.As a nordic bitumen player, we are also part of branch organizations and deeply involved in trying to build better roads by thinking out of the box. As responsible for an road material laboratory with a workforce of up to ten employees you need to manage people as well as planning of the work.It also include the responsibility of handling relations of internal as well as external customers.The laboratory was accredited by Swedac so the position included responsibility that work was performed according to 14025.

Working as a laboratory engineer the work tasks included all types of laboratory testing on aggregates, bitumen and asphalt. This also included sampling of asphalt mixes and pavements.The laboratory were certified and accredited for most of the methods in the field of asphalt.The position thought me the importance of being thorough and doing things in the right manor as well as constantly review and audit your work.
