Product Director, Applicant Tracking
As Product Director for Talent Stream Recruit, I work with our software engineering teams to make changes to CareerBuilder's Applicant Tracking System offering. These changes include bug fixes, enhancements, and adding new features and functionality. In preparation for this work, I interact with our user research and UX teams during the discovery process. I am responsible for writing user stories, testing changes and creating documentation related to the changes we make. We follow an Agile Scrum methodology, working in two week sprint cycles, and utilize JIRA for management of work.
Custom Solutions Product Manager
I managed the entire custom build for our largest client (a global staffing and recruiting company), which included seven custom career sites for various divisions of their company. I worked with the agile software engineering teams on daily basis through the Scrum process to scope work, define requirements, create user stories, test changes, and troubleshoot issues. I collaborated with engineering lead and manager to ensure that proper monitoring and alarms were in place, and reviewed our automated testing practices. I worked with the client on a daily basis to communicate progress, negotiate timelines and scope, and gather requirements. I demoed new sites and functionality to the client on a regular basis, making suggestions to them about enhancements or changes we'd recommend based on our own user research, and getting their feedback on changes that need to be made. I worked with integration teams on both sides (CareerBuilder and client) to ensure that data was coming in and going out accurately and on time. I coordinated with our customer care team to set up support processes for the client, created a knowledge base from which inquiries could be answered, and created new user stories based on inquiries.
Rapid Response Manager
In this role, I managed two teams of software engineers that acted as the first-line response to site issues within CareerBuilder's Site Technology group. I provided guidance on triaging and investigating the issues coming in, and I also work with other teams (other Site Technology teams, Product, Customer Care, and Sales) to refine our processes and communicate the volume and types of issues we are seeing. I interfaced with clients experiencing these issues as well, in order to gather additional information and/or communicate where we are in the investigation of the problem.
