• Lead developer of Clear Channel's ‘Connect’ mobile service, created using ASP.NET MVC, which provides users at bus stops real-time bus information and relevant advertisements including special offers. The website processes the supplied NFC tag information and returns additional targeted information relating specifically to the advertisement currently displayed in the frame. This was the UK's first permanent nationwide NFC interaction system.• Planned and created multiple high-profile Android applications as proof of concept mobile payment solutions. This included real-time smartphone interaction and communication with the POS, initiated via NFC tap or QR code scan. Provided business consultancy on the integration of these solutions into retail environments, both online and in store.• Improved the efficiency, stability and security of a high-profile mobile payment iPhone application. This included optimising code that caused performance bottlenecks, removing memory leaks, and significantly strengthening the encryption algorithms used to secure local data storage. • Maintained and updated PNY Movies service, the world's most popular service for downloading Sony movies. Extended the system to additionally support purchases of physical gift cards.• Created a RESTful web service, using WCF, and an administration website, using ASP.NET MVC, to support Xmas Deals advent calendar app for iOS and Android.

• Industrial placement year during university working as part of the Tiger helicopter team.• Planned, developed and tested a new, more streamlined, process for passing data between the Symbol Generator (SG) and Digital Map Generator (DMG) over the MIL-STD-1553 bus, in order to increase communication efficiency between these terminals, using Ada.• Created a High Frequency Radio decoder tool, using Ada, which decrypted, analysed and monitored the encrypted signals sent and received by the High Frequency Radio over the MIL-STD-1553 bus, to ensure correct functionality and behaviour.• Maintained and updated white-box unit tests for units within my allocated subsystems, using Ada and Perl. Performed investigations into failing units to see whether the units themselves required fixing or if their unit tests required updates to correct any problems accordingly.• Created and maintained various Perl and Bash scripts used throughout the Tiger helicopter intranet site used for dynamic generation of web pages with up-to-date information for the user. Additional scripts created and used in regular crontab tasks to assist the team and for performing general system maintenance.
