I'm an experienced software engineer with a deep affinity for real-time or performance-critical problems, as well as high-end real time rendering. I've graduated RWTH Aachen University with honors and built a thorough capability to quickly understand and correctly implement elaborate algorithms, as well as to transfer domain knowledge and design new approaches. Academically, I've focused on geometry processing, real-time graphics and high-performance computing, as well as theoretical computer science. Engineering-wise, I had an early drive to dive into large production codebases of complex systems such as game engines. In addition to a series of open source libraries, I privately maintain a hobby 3D engine which was written from scratch in C++ and features a modern clustered forward renderer, D3D12 and Vulkan backends, GPU-driven drawcall submission and culling, compute skinning, volumetrics, HBAO4+, photometric units and auto-exposure, as well as a runtime object system, reflection, and tooling with polished UI to support it.I am extensively experienced with C++ and have gained a deep understanding, and demonstrated ability to implement complex template constructs, containers, custom fiber task schedulers, memory allocators, runtime reflection, and other advanced systems.
