I currently work as a Network Development Coordinator for the European Civic Forum, a network of over 100 NGOs spread across 30 countries, based in Brussels. I'm responsible for membership management, organizational development and growth. This encompasses fostering collaboration within the network, engaging existing members, attracting new ones, coordinating working groups, and managing projects, internal communication, fundraising and grant opportunities.I hold a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the Faculty of Economics at University of Coimbra, the oldest university in Europe. After completing my degree, I embarked on a career as an Export Area Manager at “GRESCO” ( “RECER” group). In this role, I was responsible for opening markets where sales had not previously taken place.Feeling the desire to gain work experience in an NGO, I began an internship at AIDGLOBAL. Subsequently, I founded the “Academia Cidadã - Citizenship Academy”, an association dedicated to the defence of human rights and climate justice, of which I am still a part of the governing bodies, now as a volunteer. As a professional, I worked as a Projects and Communications Coordinator, effectively performing the role of a Chief-Executive Director of the organisation.Later, I had the honour of being invited to work at Amnesty International, where I served in the Fundraising Department and the Communications and Campaigns Department.I was later presented with the challenge to work at “GEOTA – Group for the Study of Territorial Planning and Environment”, where I worked as a Communications and Campaigns Coordinator, and subsequently, as a Projects and Communications Coordinator. My previous experience was as a Communications Officer at “GAT”, where once again, I took on responsibilities in campaign management, digital marketing, press relations, lobbying and advocacy, social media management, content production and review, internal and institutional communication management.I am a multifaceted person, with a dynamic attitude, very proactive and adaptable, who does not shy away from challenges. I am a keen learner and regularly update my skills through training, reading, attending conferences, watching video lectures, and listening to audiobooks. I am fluent in English, French, and Spanish. Throughout my career, I have been invited to speak at conferences on multiple occasions, written articles for newspapers, and participated in interviews and debates on national and international television and radio.
