PCMS Datafit is a leading point of sale software solutions provider. As a integration architect, I worked with the clients to bridge the gap between their in-house ERP systems and PCMS Datafit Beanstore application suite. The primary method of communicating with Beanstore is by using proprietary XML formats known as XML1 and XML3. My work involved analyzing both the client's data formats and delivery methods to determine a relationship and process to load their data into beanstore. In many cases I was required to write software that would do the extraction, translation and loading (ETL) into beanstore. I used a number of technologies to perform my duties the primary being Java and Java related projects such at Apache Camel, ApacheMQ, IBM MQSeries, Tomcat, IBM WebSphere, Spring framework, Oracle, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server and BPMN technologies such at Camunda and Activity.For the last year at PCMS, I worked on a method of integrating the beanstore application with the Camunda BPMN engine to allow business processes deep access to beanstore internals and to react to events from the point of sale. The goal of the project was to design and build a software system that would provide the ability for non-development resources, such as business analysis, to design processes using graphical drag and drop tools that are specific to the domain in order to meet the customer needs. As an Application Engineer / Developer I was charged with creating custom software for the FIDA (Fully-Integrated Dual Advantage) project, which provides members that are both Medicare and Medicaid eligible coordinated care in the hopes of reducing medical costs. I developed a series of external interfaces to the Care Advance (CAE) application to support this endeavor. The first interface I developed was the processing of the NY state Universal Assessment System (UAS) files. My application, based in SSIS, processed the downloaded XML files and loaded the results into a CAE Health Risk Assessment so that the Fidelis staff can view and spot trends in the assessments. My second interface was a series of SOAP based web services that allowed an internal web portal to access and update contact information within the CAE, this functionality does not exist within the native application. I was also tasked with interfacing CAE with the Salesforce web application to expand the scheduling abilities of the application. I was a member of a team that installed and upgraded the Trizetto Care Advance Enterprise application to Release 5.01; while at the same time installing, configuring and integrating the Trizetto Communication System for printing member correspondence. I was in charge of designing, provisioning, and installing the different servers for each working environment of the project. I worked with the business to assist in configuration, tuning and troubleshooting of the application and it's operation. Intelligrated designs, manufactures, integrates and installs complete material handling automation solutions including conveyor systems, sortation systems, palletizers, robotics and order picking technologies; all managed by advanced machine controls and software. I was contracted to assist in designing a Java based framework to support a new order picking system. To accomplish this goal we made use of technologies such as Maven for the build framework, JBoss Application Server as the runtime base, Spring Framework and Spring Integration for the application infrastructure. Clear Channel Media and Entertainment is the largest provider of broadcast radio content in the United States. I was employed in a dual capacity as both a systems administrator and software engineer in their digital distribution division which is responsible for transmitting digital content such as News, Traffic and Weather over the data channel of the High Definition radio system.• Responsible for designing a fault tolerant back-end server infrastructure and software suite used in processing digital content prior to transmission.• Designed and implemented a Citrix xenServer 6.0 virtualization cluster to support a series of working environments (Development, Test and Production)• Designed and implemented a series of template based application servers utilizing the JBoss 6.1 Java application server and application software pre-deployed in a ready state to ensure a consistent deployment of the application across multiple working environments.• Designed the software architecture to be fault tolerant using JBoss, Quartz Scheduler and ApacheMQ JMS. Application servers can be added and removed from the cluster without disrupting the application.• Designed and implemented a RESTful based Web API for Internet connected mobile devices to receive the same content as is transmitted over the HD signal. What makes this interface unique is that when the data is sent via the HD radio transmitter there is a natural index that is inherit with the location of the transmitter which is not present with the internet. The design of the API implements a "virtual" transmitter tower concept centered around market and content areas to get around this issue.• Designed and implemented a JMS based distributed job queue manager that distributes work around the cluster using a series of basic mobile agent like objects that interface with an SOA based infrastructure present on all application servers.

CareSource is the second largest managed Medicaid provider in the United States employing over 1200 people across two states servicing over 900,000 members. I held the position of Senior Application Engineer in charge of both the FACETS and CareAdvance applications.• Technical lead for both the FACETS 4.31 to 4.61 and CareAdvance 4.1.0.4 to 4.71 upgrade projects.• Liaison between different departments as a subject matter expert to assist in interfacing with and using the FACETS and CareAdvance applications.• Designed a virtual machine template model of deployment for both Facets and CareAdvance resulting in higher quality deployments and fewer inconsistencies between working environments The effect was higher availability and decreased software artifacts and issues.• Designed a method in which we used SOAP over HTTP to communicate with Trizetto products to extract data and monitor the application resources.• Primary point of contact for on-site application support for the FACETS and CareAdvance applications. I interfaced with Trizetto Support to identify and correct software issues, deploying any patches or implemented any work around as indicated by Trizetto.• Designed an on-demand environment system for FACETS that provided a method of rapid creation of working Facets environments for testing and project support using the virtual template model of deployment.• Planned and provisioned all the virtual servers for both FACETS and CareAdvance server constellations.• Developed a series of engineering build documents that described the individual servers and software, the methods in which they were built using the virtual templates, environmental management practices and disaster recovery procedures.

I developed custom biometric data collection software solutions and maintained their servers and networks.• Developed a Java based biometric data collection application that interfaced with a number of sensors such as Iris and Fingerprint scanners. • Used J2EE technologies such as JBoss, Hibernate, Spring Framework to build back end server based biometric processing applications.• Managed all the servers and handled user requests for three different company sites.

An industry leader in product support information and delivery technology for both commercial and DoD applications. I worked primarily on Department of Defense projects where I designed the Maintainers Advanced Diagnostics System which was used in the United States Marine Corps Embedded Platform Logistics System.• Designed and Implemented an expert system that was able to interrogate sensors on the target platform, classify the responses and make determination as to the nature of a failure within a system saving time and improving the quality of diagnostics.• Designed and Implemented an API interface to the MADS system for 3rd party products using both SOAP over HTTP and SOAP/XMLRPC over XMPP.• Using the Maintainers Advanced Diagnostics System framework I implemented a prognostics and health monitoring component that constantly monitored the target platform. I started Lambert Communications as a consulting company with an Internet Service Provider as its operational backbone. I built the company from a small basement based provider with a few customers working part time to a little over a hundred business class customers with our primary operational facility located in downtown Dayton. Drawing on the base of customers I branched out and offered custom IT solutions and day to day office support for small businesses.• Designed and implemented a fully redundant backbone and last mile delivery system using 802.11 wireless technologies.• Provided standard Internet services such as E-Mail and Web Hosting to my customer base from both the Dayton facilities and from co-located servers based out of Atlanta, GA.• Partnered with WHIO-TV and NARI to provide trade show data collection services using custom in-house developed software for the Home World trade show.• Worked with a number of small business to provide services ranging from E-Commerce to TCP/IP based security and surveillance.

Reporting directly to the president of the company and the vice president of research and development, I was responsible for special research and development projects. Projects ranged from custom web portal design and development to the building of a mobile data center that was used to support the retail activities of the 2001 U.S. Open golf tournament. This job required that I use a broad range of skills including, but not limited to, Project Management, Software Development, Data Communications and Networking and Data Center Management.

My normal duties included writing and maintaining software installation packages for NCR's primary support software, CSMS. It was my job to understand the developmental changes and adjust or create new scripts for the UNIX operating system that would install and setup the working environment for the application. This job required the use of a number of skills including: Project Management, Software Development, Progress database administration and development, and a detailed knowledge of the UNIX operating system.

It was my honor to serve in the United Stated Army Reserve for a number of years, where I was trained as both a Tactical Data Communications Specialist and as a Psychological Warfare Specialist. I was honorably discharged with full rights and benefits in August of 1999.

I was responsible for a number of on-site and off-site mid-range and high end Sun Solaris servers. These servers controlled the day to day activities of the flight operations for the Emery aircraft fleet, and were considered to be mission critical. My duties included maintaining the servers, seeing to their upgrades, determining backup schedules, and management of the personal that staffed the data centers where the servers were located.

After beginning my career as a software support analyst I was promoted to development, where I worked on a number of projects. These projects required a working knowledge of a number of skills, including, Informix 4GL development, UNIX administration and development, data communications protocol design and development and later on basic product management.
