Recruited, hired, and trained a product engineering team and managed acoustic lab expansion to support growing microphone product line. Product engineering team led efforts to release several second and third generation products into production. The team also worked closely with overseas manufacturing sites to rapidly ramp new products and support sustaining activities.

Lead product engineering activities to bring first generation microphone products into mass production, and provided post release product sustaining support. Played a key role in the development of early products by managing cross functional teams to validate new designs, identify product improvements, and resolve product related technical issues. Worked closely with engineering management to prepare technical material for key customers.

Performed root cause analysis on customer returns and internal failures. Responsible for all phases of analysis including but not limited to failure verification, external & internal visual inspection, chemical & mechanical de-processing, SEM, and micro probing. Responded to all ensuing questions after release of final report.

Responsible for directing qualification activities in the reliability lab while providing technical support to operators and technicians. Worked closely with product engineering to prepare for device specific reliability testing, and with outside vendors to procure required equipment (burn-in boards, ESD boards, test chambers, etc.). Reviewed qualification and characterization data and served as one of the quality/reliability signoffs for start of production.
