I live to learn and solve problems. I am a transitioning service member aspiring to help create innovative technologies as a Software Engineer to propel humankind into the future, and maybe even into the stars.I am currently studying Cloud Application Development with the Microsoft Software and Systems Academy at Embry-Riddle where I am mastering C#, SQL, ASP.Net MVC, and Azure. Before this great opportunity, I spent the better part of a decade learning to code in my spare time for fun (Mostly Python). I have consumed all of the free online training I could find, and have taken many Codecademy.com Pro courses. I am deeply fascinated by Machine Learning/AI, and am slowly working my way through various books on the topic so that I may integrate it with future projects. I am also interested in the direction of Web Assembly, and have been learning to use Blazor to create Single Page Apps. Every time I come across something new, I have to start researching to learn more about it, and understand how it works, which has led to my ever-growing library of tech books. I am an avid gamer, and am obsessed with anything space-related.I served 14 years in the US Navy. As a Master Training Specialist, I instructed Littoral Combat Ship crew members on vital Combat Systems electronic equipment, and Trained-to-Qualify them as Defensive Systems Operators using state of the art Virtual Reality trainers. I have been responsible for coordinating maintenance and repairs of all electronic Combat Systems onboard ships, and led a division of over 20 Sailors through the daily execution of their jobs and mentored them in professional development. Before I was a Fire Controlman, I also worked on F-18 avionics equipment as an Aviation Electrician, and started my career as an undesignated seaman.
