While I was in law school, I realized seven-year-old me was wrong, and I didn't want to be a lawyer. My passion took over and brought me to DePaul University to receive my Master's degree in journalism. It should come as no surprise that now I work at a job that lets me write on a daily basis.Through the course of my career in marketing, I've worked for two companies who know that employee engagement and employee recognition are vital for any company. When you get to see people win an award or get recognized for something that they weren't expecting to be recognized for, it's a powerful feeling for you and for them. Because of the experiences at these companies, I'm a huge champion for employee recognition. Your people make your company run. Recognizing them is critical. When I'm not working my marketing magic, I'm an avid reader of mostly crime novels and thrillers with the occasional autobiography thrown in. I also love watching my Chicago sports teams, even when they're terrible. I love cooking and trying new restaurants. Movies and music are a big part of who I am. And I have two things left on my bucket list to cross off. The one that's been crossed off is seeing Garth Brooks in concert (I've done that twice since 2015). The other two are visiting all Major League Baseball stadiums (I've been to 12 of the 30) and being on Jeopardy! (Trivia in general is another thing I love.)If you'd like to learn more about me or my job, let's connect!
