    > Currently managing and guiding a team of HR officers to run the day to day operations of employees and PNSmen. > In 2020, merged and integrated the HR functions of two branches - the PNS HR functions with the employee functions as part of an SPF-wide initiative for HR transformation. With my team, we successfully rolled-in a new HR system and weaned out the outgoing system to our officers. Prior to this re-organisation we also took on the roles of welfare and centralized leave management.> Continuously optimizing HR processes internally to maximise the opportunities for development of our employees and NSmen, adopting flexible transfer policies across the unit and job matching outside of the unit without impacting our day to day operations. We align these with the ever-changing requirements of the maritime security sector and work closely with our stakeholders, the Commanding officers and the Key appointment holders of the NS Contingent (KAHRAH).> We handle the performance management, deployment (inclusive of succession planning and management of routes of advancement; loan of officers for deployment to major events such as NDP, Trump-Kim Summit, Shangri-la, F1 etc), on-boarding, exit (including the backend coordination of HR functions for officers who have unfortunately passed away), allowances, awards, service injuries and disciplinary functions of all officers. > We also plan the recall of our NSmen in active consultation with the KAHRAH and our stakeholders. We are currently reviewing the other alternative roles that NSmen can play in the ever changing maritime environment.>We also act as the HR liaison for the VSC officers who are led by Head VSC PCG, assisting in all HR functions that are currently under our wing.

The manpower management of these officers was being followed up in my next role as Head Manpower where we assisted in their transition to the new agency HTX. This resulted in manpower savings and lowered maintenance costs overall.> Supported the review of the internal civilian substantive rank upgrades to ensure that in the current changing environment, the jobscopes and responsibilities taken on by current officers are in line with current HR policy.> Achieved at least 98% to 99% yearly utilization rate of all budget requested and planned for.
