Hanger Clinic is a medical facility where patients are referred to, by there physician, when they are in need of a medical device. The Boise location was lucky enough to have an on site fabrication lab, so all custom medical devices where made in house. I was in charge of all things related to production in the lab. Ordering/stocking fabrication materials | Keeping track of all patient devices moving through the fabrication process | Keeping monthly fit and delivery reports updated in order to make sure things were completed on time for the patients appointment | Collaborated with the clinicians and decide how best to accommodate the patient | Streamline fabrication process to reduce delivery times | Insure quality control on all devices | Fabricated custom Prosthetic and Orthotic devices

I was in charge of all the Orthotic and Prosthetic device fabrication for all Evergreen locations in Idaho. I used foam, thermo plastics, carbon, and leather to build custom medical devices from scratch. I worked closely with the Clinicians to trouble shoot possible issues, and think critically about the patients needs so I could produce the best possible product for the patient. Towards the end of my position at Evergreen, I was responsible for training a new technician how to fabricate devices from start to finish.

I started at this position without any prior knowledge of how to fabricate medical devices. I quickly learned the skills needed, and became an asset to the team at Sawtooth O & P. I was placed in charge of checking all other technicians work for quality control within my second year, because the Clinicians were impressed by my attention to detail and speed. I made it a priority to review my process often in order to see what steps could be improved to increase my productivity. I worked directly with the Clinicians to design the device best suited for each patient. I also was in charge of most of the patient interactions when they needed repairs done to their device.

I was hired to build the sushi devision from the ground up in order to fulfill a large business contract with Boise State University. I was responsible for every aspect of the business from food design, food preparation, packaging, and presentation of the final product. I maintained high quality preparation and delivery in compliance with all health codes. I maintained inventory of all materials including packaging, utensils, and food products to ensure we never ran out of stock. This was a self-motivated position; I was personally responsible for my own schedule to make sure the product was done in time for our daily pickup.

I took pride in understanding each customer's ideas and directing them to the supplies that would best suit their needs. I was also trusted to load and program kilns with client artwork. I managed inventory of clay, tools, and raw chemicals. I helped maintain the company website, which was critical to the success of the company. Customers came to rely on me for help in trouble shooting and repairing their personal equipment from pottery wheels to kilns. I instructed the beginning pottery class, this was an amazing experience and allowed me to dissect my own creative process and find new ways to share it with my students based on their individual learning style.
