Took part in a research effort under the direction and supervision of C.Chong and P. Kevrekidis in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Massachusetts as a continuation of the REU started in May 2014. Our research was focused around the topic of nonlinear waves, particularly in nonlinear lattices of granular crystals.

Participated in a research experience for undergraduates (REU) under the direction and supervision of C. Chong and P. Kevrekidis in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where we studied the propagation of solitary waves in lattices using the FPUT-type dynamical lattice with the use of numerical computations as well as analytic tools. Specifically, we were interested in traveling wave solutions of a model describing elastic mass in mass beads. For our analysis we consider the continuum limit to find an approximate solution for our model.
