In today’s data-driven business climate, successful businesses regardless of size and industry require business intelligence, insights, and policy and practice information to guide strategic planning, decision-making, and change management initiatives. Despite the sheer volume of data available, however, many organizations lack the expertise to unlock its full value.With 14+ years of experience in risk management and business analytics, I have employed cutting-edge methods and technologies in turning structured and unstructured data into actionable insights producing significant benefits to my employers. Recently, in my role as Director of Business Analytics for a global provider of risk management advisory services, I introduced data science principles and techniques to the firm by directing the development of multiple proofs-of-concept which enabled the firm to enhance their client offerings and develop a lucrative, new revenue stream.Adept at the use of programming languages such as R, SAS, VBA for Excel, and SQL, I have planned and managed design and development projects including: integration of complex credit risk models for 9 product lines into a comprehensive capital analysis and review (CCAR) platform, an automated testing solution addressing unit, system integration (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT) needs, and a platform fulfilling the quarterly loan-provisioning requirements of a financial institution. I hold professional designation as Financial Risk Manager (FRM).I am intrigued by the possibilities of advances in machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI); particularly, the way in which the growth in these technologies will impact human life.
